Born in 1982. British. Studied Philosophy through PhD level, with a focus on Kant's Aesthetic theory and other aesthetic theories. Practiced art throughout my 20's, but due to various contingencies stopped practicing art for around a decade. Began painting and drawing again in the autumn of 2023, with a clearer idea and vision of what I want to achieve. Self taught artist, influenced by the golden age of British art (18th C through to early 19th C), Early-Mid Modernism and British Neo-Romanticism. Most works displayed on this site are recent works but there are some of my older works amongst them.

I have refrained from writing something like an 'artitst statement' here, because an aritst's statement is usually in itself not something really 'real', but more of a performance that is designed to flatter the vanity of the artist and impress or confound the spectator. In terms of where I stand, broadly speaking, art is not something that can be just subjectively labeled and claimed, but is in itself a real thing. Either something is art or it is not - and something authentically being art is not a matter of interpretation or 'context'. There is 'true art', 'poor art' (itself an attempt at true art, that can be in earnest or not) and counterfeit art. This site documents my attempt to make something true (although I don't doubt this is still someway off). Anyway, there are a lot of things to say on these matters but if you really want to hear it, feel free to write to me at the below address. Thank you for viewing my site.
